In 1993, fresh out of 3 years service in the South African Navy, after pulling pints for 6 months, I landed a job as a sweeper and chief tea maker at Haiku Woodencraft in Knysna. The evocative smells of cedar, iroko and ash, used in the various boats being built, swept me up and into a beautiful world of wooden boatbuilding. Forever etched into my very soul, this was the start of my love and passion for woodwork.

 

I've worked as a house-carpenter, cabinet maker and set builder.

These pages now serve as an emotive testament to my work over the last 30 years. 

I currently work as Senior Carpenter at StudioXAG in London and am studying a Masters degree in Project Management.
